Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician (M/F)

Santé Staffing Médical is recruiting a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) to join a rehabilitation department within a hospital located in Corsica. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing care in one of two conventional inpatient units, according to your expertise: - Neurological Unit - 11 beds: patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and patients with peripheral neurological conditions, particularly after intensive care or surgery. - Orthopedic Unit - 17 beds: rehabilitation following hip or knee replacements, lumbar surgery, and polytrauma. Your main responsibilities will be: - Managing patient admissions and providing medical follow-up throughout their stay. - Adapting treatments and prescriptions to the evolving health status. - Organize discharges and draft associated medical correspondence. - Participate in rounds, admissions committees, and multidisciplinary team meetings. - Conduct at least one consultation session per week for the follow-up of hospitalized patients and the evaluation of outpatients. - Develop, if you wish, a complementary activity involving therapeutic procedures: infiltrations, botulinum toxin injections, and ultrasound guidance. You will also be able to contribute to the continuing education of the teams, the supervision of residents and medical students, as well as clinical research projects with the support of a dedicated unit. A high-performance rehabilitation technical platform You will join a department with an organization that fosters collaboration between professionals and a variety of equipment: - Physiotherapy rooms, gait retraining, and strength training equipment. - Isokinetics and self-balancing exoskeleton. - Hydrotherapy. - Occupational therapy room, orthotic and cast workshop, and driving simulator. - Support from neuropsychologists and speech therapists. - Ultrasound machine dedicated to diagnostic assessments and therapeutic procedures. Hospitalization and rehabilitation areas are located on the same floor, facilitating care coordination and communication within the team. A resident or a medical student (FFI) also assists the physician as needed. Job details - Hours: 8:30 am - 6:30 pm. - On-call duty: Saturday mornings, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, approximately once a month. - Salary: based on status, experience, and recruitment process.
